Eng. Wesley Kaluba has been elected as the new Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ)President at the just ended Annual General Meeting. Eng. Kaluba's victory over two other candidates also makes him the Chairperson of the 62nd Engineering Council. Also elected on Council is Eng. Kennedy Musonda retaining his position as Vice President Policy, Public Relations and National Development, Eng. Chansa Musonda as Vice President Finance and Administration while Eng. Edith Mwale takes the mantle as Vice President Membership and Continuous Professional Development. Eng. Nsofwa Malunga was elected as Engineers' representative, while Teg. Princess Sampa was elected as Technologists' representative. Tec. Chola Kombe got the position of Technicians' representative and Cra. Felix Masala as Craftspersons' representative. Lucky Simukonda went unopposed on the position of Engineering Organisations’ Representative. The new EIZ President thanked all voters for giving him the support and electing him as the EIZ President. He further thanked the outgoing Council for their dedication towards achieving the goals of the institution. He called on all members to work as a team to make EIZ a world class engineering body.
